Trump fired a shot across Jeff's bow when he mentioned Amazon not paying much tax. Bezos realizes that if Trump wins there's a lot he can do without going through Congress or, if Jeff plays nice, Trump can just propose things that might impact Amazon then leave it to Congress and Lobbyists to work out the details.
I figure the more it looks like Trump is going to win anyway, the more the Bezos newspaper will hit Hillary.
