What is with all the Newt support on this thread. He is so far from a conservative it isn’t funny. Has NO ONE paid attention to all the shots he took at conservatives in the last 8 years? Seriously?

I am wondering the same thing and also why so many posters don't really know ANYTHING ( a "transitional VEEP", VPs never bring a state to the ticket, nobody is concerned about the many skeletons in Newt's closets, his current wife's spendthrift ways, his crazy side, his pro-globalization, etc. ? ) and are stary-eyed over a man who would single handedly make Hillary the next president.

Maybe these conservatives needed a criticism. There are many conservative elites who are not true conservatives. They use the conservative facade to hide their true intentions, which is to line their pockets with the good intentions of their donors. Then there are conservatives, like Erick Erickson, who are Democrats in sheep's clothing. They serve to disrupt the conservative base with misinformation that is mostly fabricated for the effect.

This is a man who, as I understand it, repeatedly sided with Clinton against the conservative freshman R’s elected in 1994. Wolf-in-sheep’s clothing, snake, moral degenerate who provides no balance to the ticket. I mean, if we must pick an adulterer, why not at least go for someone like Mark Sanford??
