A butcher's sign that said eating his bacon reduced the chance of someone being a suicide bomber has raised a few eyebrows. A photo posted on social media showed a sign up in the window of Jeff Rapley's butchery, Rapley's Midtown Quality Meats, in Narooma on the NSW South Coast. I have even bought a toast soldier slicer. Makes perfect bread strips every time. You are missing out on the runny egg part with cracked pepper.. YumYum.
“Insensitive but probably accurate.”
Unless you are alone on the Moon, nearly everything you do or say will be ‘sensed’ by someone or something. In all likelihood, something your do or say today will be sensed and objected to by someone or something.
Insensitive in a non-specific context is a useless term. With the proliferation of Perpetually Offended Classes in today’s world, worrying about being “insensitive”, is like worrying about exhaling and contributing to the CO2 buildup in the atmosphere.
