"A spokeswoman for the state health department declined to comment on the ruling of Barrett, an appointee of former President George W. Bush"

This is the kind of doofus that W was appointing?

an appointee of former President George W. Bush

Amazing the power these men retain--able to appoint Federal judges even after leaving office.

Seriously folks, I've noticed that whenever the action a past Democratic President performed in office is referred to, it was done by "President Jimmy Carter," "President Bill Clinton," etc.

But if an action of any sort was done by a Republican President, such as say, taking the oath of office, signing a bill, threatening the sacred Soviet Union, it was performed by "former President George W. Bush," "former President Ronald Reagan," or "former President Calvin Coolidge."

Kidding on that last one. I think.
