The ad sucks. If you don’t know the story behind it, it makes no sense. I REALLY, REALLY want Trump to pound Hillary with this kind of thing, but THIS was not an effective ad.
You are absolutely right. The spot is completely unclear to viewers who aren’t familiar with Billie’s shameful back-story. Worse, it looks cheesy, as though it was done by a high-school kid. I hope Trump isn’t trying to save money on commercial production values.
And I’m speaking as an experienced advertising professional, with many decades of experience as an officer or partner for major ad agencies, working for some of the largest client companies in the world.
