Sorry. I'm just tired of all the Baltimore-bashing from people who have never lived here. I love Baltimore, with all its warts. It has its problems, for sure, but it's been a great place to live and work. My kids, all grown now, love the city, too.
I know it's liberal. That part I hate. But that's not the whole story of the city, and I really get angry when who know nothing more about the city than the fact that it's liberal trash it for that fact alone.

I agree, basically, of COURSE we ought to care.
Baltimore may have charms but the more important thing is for Baltimore to learn once more about God’s charms.

I see nothing on the list that sets Baltimore apart from, say, Seattle, also liberal, with a nearly identical list if you substitute local names. I avoid all larger cities myself but would favor Seattle of this pair because far fewer dangerous people inhabit the local environs.
