Reminds of the Yorktown at the Battle of Midway when the Japs hit her hard and then she bounced back the same day. They hit her a second and final time and she was scuttled, never to fight again. Yorktown was hit by aircraft twice. After the second air strike, she was manned by a skeleton crew and taken under tow. She was hit a third time (and sunk) by a Japanese submarine. Also sunk was the destroyer USS Hammond, which was towing Yorktown.
