It should be 71%. This close...against a GREEN? Idiots.
What happened in this case is that the general public left the typical winners (the center-right and center-left parties). It surprised everyone that four weeks ago....between the two of them....the most they could muster is 22-percent.
The public has stepped into a new dynamic....either extremely FOR refugees or extremely AGAINST refugees. Nothing else is really registering (pension reform, taxation, schools, infrastructure, etc).
For the center-left and center-right....they might be out of mainstream politics for a decade.
The other part of this story is that it also concerns Germany because five state elections go between Oct 2016 and May 2017, with the German national election by Nov 2017. It may very well condemn the German center-left and center-right parties....creating another dynamic of the Greens versus the AfD Party.
