There are many Hindu honor killings in India. Apparently they are often related to caste issues.
The incident with the boiling water was related to payment of a dowry, not an issue of "honor". Dowry-related killings in India also occur among Hindus.
The big, big difference is that Hinduism rejects such behaviour and has pursued wiping it out completely, and has made huge progress against it. Honour and other killing in Hinduism is utterly rejected by 99% of Hindus as a grave sin. Which would make sense also because Hinduism is vegetarian and honours pacifism.
Whereas Islam universally supports honor killing philosophically, even where it is not practiced. Which would make sense also because halal meat certification in Islam maximizes the suffering of the animal being killed, and Islam honours the murder of non-Muslims as part of its faith.
Yuuuuge difference and completely different spiritual philosophies. Also, Hinduism atrocities are virtually all from primitive villages, of which India has a great many, while Islamic honor killings are practiced by educated western Islamics - because in Islam it's current teachings.
Why don't you talk about the Catholics burning witches in the middle ages being the same as Muslims burning captured pilots today? Same level of relevancy.
