A STRING QUARTET + 1
BRAHMS: PIANO QUINTET IN F MINOR, OP. 34, ALLEGRO It starts with a things that go bump in the night kind of sound in C minor before it takes off in C Major and minor. The central panel, or trio, is in pure C Major. The opening section returns for a great finish.
This video features two of my old friends. Thats Robert deMaine, principal cello of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and cellist with the Ehnes String Quartet. And thats Orion Weiss on piano. Hell be playing at a private party and fund raiser in Seattle this weekend, and Ill be there.
