My wife announced yesterday (May 19) that she is leaving, to move out of state, to be with her “Facebook” boyfriend.

It's not really my place to advise, but: the second the wheels of her jet, or the wheels of her car leave the vicinity, close out all bank accounts, sell everything that you don't really, really want that isn't nailed down. After all that sell all the stuff that is nailed down. Cancel all credit cards, sell all stocks, bonds, or other assets, and if not possible then use them as collateral for as much loan as you can - if you can keep it in her name, then abscond with the money. Quit your job and move far away (at least over state lines). On your way out of town, use the money you borrowed in her name to hire an attorney to file for divorce.

OK, maybe that is a bit harsh...

Then again maybe it doesn't go far enough.

“Then again maybe it doesn’t go far enough.”

It might indeed be advisable to forego the divorce attorney and just fake your own death and get a fake identity. You can probably buy one for a couple hundred bucks in the nearest Mexican neighborhood if you ask around.
