At least back in the old days, if England made a huge mistake, Spain or other countries would do try something different.

Same with the United States.

Now collectivists, socialists, progressives and soft-fascists run top-down enterprises in both places.

By putting too much power centrally, they make the whole enterprise a sink or swim affair. And eventually a nation/state will sink.

At least with 50 states, if one state sinks, the others can learn the lesson and correct.
