It doesn't make it go away. It goes away when he follows through. People like me have a problem with Trump, because of his past. As the verse goes, "You shall know them by their fruits." Trump's basket is full of liberal left of center fruit, and a lot of unsupported talk about being right of center. Until he follows through, many of us will be waiting for the other shoe to fall.
Even with reservations, he's still the better pic over any "thing" the liberals put on the ballot.
Well put, as Reagan put it, “trust, but verify.” Once we see an actual nomination, then I’ll believe.
Trump may be a liberal in a lot of things, but, as Rush has frequently noted, he is not ideological. He is not a statist or a socialist, which are the only options coming from the Democrat Party.
Everything I have heard about Trump is that he stakes out "extreme" positions at the start of negotiations, then settles for what he really wanted in the first place. So if everything he is saying is the starting point, for what is he going to settle? He is not going to be negotiating with FReepers, he is going to be negotiating with people in the middle or on the left.
As far as past fruits go, Trump is taking lemons and making lemonade.
Forgiveness and reconciliation are Christian virtues.
