Congrats! I could claim similar, going back to the Watauga Settlement, the
State of Franklin and the Battle of King’s Mountain, but only on my husband’s side.
O’course my husband has Cherokee, too. Does that count?

What did I broad brush?
I just related what my experiences have been and every single time I tell that, some Catholic comes along and tells me that I’m wrong.
Except that since no one knows me and the Catholics I have met in my life, they cannot tell me that what I have seen and heard with my own eyes and ears is not true.
I’m not stating that all Catholics (fill in the blank). I related what I’ve encountered. Why is that a problem for you?

Do you always paint with such a broad brush? Do you not seen the irony of your own question?
ALWAYS? Is that not broad brushing itself?

What did I broad brush? Its all fine and good for Catholics to point to the fact that the RCC has done that, but when you examine the personal lives of individual Catholics, they fall far short of it."

Name another church that hides its homosexual pedophile priests. One that is so corrupt with power that when leading catholic politicians defy the church on abortion the leaders of the church do nothing, zero, zip, nada.Any church that has humans in it has faults. Yes, the RCC has some darned ugly faults
the priest molestation cases the ugliest of them all. But the Church is learning from this and making many changes and HAVE made many changes to make individual parishes more secure in this regard. But no matter what ugliness filters in to try and destroy the Church, she will still stand and Christs word will still be preached in it.
My church stands against these things.
And that church is
?

Oh so you don’t think burning Christians at the stake was a big deal or lopping off their heads, or gutting them was that bad?
I am a Christian and my church precedes that of the catholic church, if you studied the real history of the church you’d know that.

What he stated just this week is what makes me cringe.
Thanks

It is a problem for us Catholics because you are an honest woman and would not lie about your experiences. That also means that our Roman Catholic Church has major flaws apparent to honest non-Catholics and their concerns should not be brushed away as though they were irrelevant.

Thank you.
There are also major flaws in the Pentecostal branch of Evangelicalism that I speak out strongly against. For any Catholics who wish to have a persecution complex.
I’ve also made no secret of how I feel about slain in the Spirit stuff, the word of faith movement, and televangelists. Pentecostalism has some pretty damaging, whacked out theology.

Mankind are choosing to be eroded by the modern world rather than listening to and obeying the Word of God.
God is the same, was always the same, and will always be the same. No erosion there.
