because of unseasonable weather and weaker demand for electronics and groceries

Yep, that must be it.

I can guarantee the bathroom policy had nothing to do with the sales drop.

These are quarterly earnings. Targets quarter runs Feb-Apr. They didn’t even announce the policy until the end of April.

Any impact won’t show up until the next earnings report.

All of a sudden, people just cut way back on groceries. They’re probably just trying to get a better body for summer.

Target needs to explain to me how weather has an effect on the need to purchase groceries.
Hot, cold, sunshine, or raining, people still gotta eat.
Could it just be that those hungry people found some other place to purchase their groceries?

Macy’s uses the same weather excuse, when they closed a bunch of stores.

It is true...the "climate" at Target has forced me to change my shopping habits. I typically have spent around $150 - $200 a month at target...last month I spend $30... as a result...i have gotten 2....5% off "your next visit" cards in the mail....and 1 $5 off gift certificate at the check out counter.... somebody is concerned
