“.......no federal or state laws prevent doctors from asking their patients about whether they have guns in the home.”
Recently was reinstating my VA, and was asked about depression, suicidal thoughts, and whether I had guns, or not.
As the above, no federal or state laws that I know of prevent me from the answer I gave. NO!
I was nice, and didn’t tell the VA nurse interviewer it was none of his business. I just said NO!
“I was nice, and didnt tell the VA nurse interviewer it was none of his business. I just said NO!”
Good advice to all. Never act the least bit disturbed. And I do, almost without exception, get asked how “I’m feeling mentally.” That, it appears is now SOP. and a wrong answer here in CA could get the state dropping by to pick up your guns.

Best answer. Forget about all the silly counter questions and talk of boating accidents. Just lie and say NO. That’s how you survive in a police state. Watch the ghetto rats to learn skills that we will need to survive. If they get caught standing over a dead body with a gun in their hand and blood spatter on their face, they just automatically start with, “I don’t know what happened. I didn’t do anything. This isn’t my gun and I don’t know how it got in my hand.”
Being a good cooperative citizen in an evil, corrupt state is stupid and dangerous.
