Patten's remarks blame high schools, rather than Oxford, for failing to prepare certain students for acceptance into prestigious universities.

Why not place blame on the students for not studying hard enough, regardless of race/color?

We all know plenty of kids who dicked away their time in school. Had little to do with the teachers. They pissed away their time. The very same ones who gsve the kids working to get ahead a hard time for being nerds and brainiacs.
