Back in the 19th-early 20th century it was a trope that madmen would imagine they were Napoleon, or a Napoleon-like character. This is no longer so it seems, because nobody remembers Napoleon.

As a kid I remember those people. They could be proven to be insane because they obviously were not Napoleon.

In this Muslim woman's case, she is a Muslim and has done what Allah and Muhammad would approve.
Is following your religion a sign of insanity?

Islam is the problem, but we won't face up to that, because most Americans cannot fathom the fundamentals of Islam.
We contort our mamby pamby religiious views, and apply it to Islam as if it is a related religion. -Tom

From what I’ve seen, there are many ways of being insane.
I don’t see why a madman couldn’t follow a religion in an insane manner.
Or in a manner that is not functionally different from that of a sane fanatic.
