Teary-eyed Cruz: This movement doesn’t go away in one election
The Hill ^ | 05/16/2016 | Caitlin Yilek

A teary-eyed Ted Cruz is hinting that he’s leaving the door open for another White House bid in a newly released video titled "No regrets."

The 5-minute video opens with a campaign staffer asking if the Cruz camp made it “through this without regrets.” “This is nearly a regret-free campaign,” he says. “Ted Cruz didn’t lose. Our campaign for president lost.”

Deace is pure scum and probably sold his support to Cruz for money. I suspect this was the case for other prominent Cruzers in Iowa as well, particularly one (whose name I forget) who was accused of selling his support to Santorum and of trying to get money out of team Romney at the time. The more holier than thou they are, and desperate in their ravings, the more likely their conscience is secretly burdened.

I believe that you are thinking of Bob Vander Plaats, who - along with Steve Deace - is one of the people who herd "evangelicals" and "conservatives" (both in quotes very much on purpose) in the Hawkeye State. Whether money was directly exchanged or not, there is no doubt that the careers of both men suffer when they aren't able to deliver a certain demographic to the candidate that they have chosen to tout. Both have suffered some well-earned blowback this time around, and Steve King, who is often an exemplary congressman, made a big mistake casting his lot with this bunch.

Once again, I recommend that Iowa not be allowed to continue having first-in-the-nation status for anything political, as it has been carefully crafted to be low hanging fruit for the right bamboozler(s). Deflating the Ames Straw Poll was a step in the right direction, and replacing the caucus with a closed primary should be the next.

This campaign revealed a Ted Cruz I had not seen before.
I will not be voting for him.

Daddy issues I would bet
Notice the big emotional hug he gave his dad at the end, the one where Heidi got cold cocked twice for being in the way

I didn’t watch the clip.

Did he understand why he lost? Did he say what he’s going to do (except running for potus again)?

He needs to seriously repair his own record and image before he can pull me back to watch or support him again.

He came in 2nd in the primary, so I suspect they’ll let him speak at the convention.

After this video - are you kidding?! The only people Cruz's appearance at the convention would attract would be the NeverTrumpers.

Cruz is like a revivalist preacher where they have a new “revival” every few months

Exactly!

In addition to Lyin' Ted's Bush Establishmentarianism & and phony conservative schtick, I grew tired of Lyin' Ted & Heidi's "Jim & Tammy Faye show".

“Cruz claims in rest of video that he has lit a fire creating a movement,...”

Uh... sorry Ted, but the only one who created a movement was Trump. Unless you’re counting bowel movements, in which case you might be correct.

No Regrets | Ted Cruz 2016 - YouTube

--

So he does not regret saying this:

Ted Cruz Unburdens Himself: ‘What I Really Think of Donald Trump’

“I’m going to do something I haven’t done for the entire campaign,” he told reporters in Evansville, Ind. “I’m going to tell you what I really think of Donald Trump.”

Mr. Trump is a “pathological liar,” he said – an “utterly amoral” man and a “narcissist at a level I don’t think this country has ever seen.”

“Sounds like Beck coached him.”

This campaign has been raw Americana.

Donald Trump as Tom Sawyer.

Cruz and Beck as the Duke and the Dauphin.

He’s running again for the Senate so he can make more promises to texans about how he ted is going to end Obamacare, abortion, and abolish the IRS
And so he has a job to use as a springboard for another presidential run

Will Texans buy what he’s selling?

If he ever runs again, I won’t need to waste any time supporting him as I will already be aware of who he really is!

“After all of his preaching, when I read that Cruz gave ZERO to his church, I suspected he was a fraud.’

The God fearing do not fake prayers for the camera, nor do they teach their young children to do so.

“I am beginning to wonder about him and thinking he wants the Presidency too much. I can’t say that I recall anyone else acting this way.”

I think he is a long term sleeper and political construct. He is a fake conservative, with strings leading back to globalists, specifically the Bush machine. He is a stalking horse for globalism. As Lenin observed, “The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves.”

I think Cruz is constructed exactly for that purpose. All of the apparent contradictions are reconciled if that premise is accepted.

Ted needs help and support. Ted is having a Heidi Cruz style meltdown.

I recall guy from the Chicago exchange, i believe on msnbc-Pete Santelli???

Anyway, three four months into zero’s first year, Pete explains the moral hazard of the government bailing out Citizens, those on welfare and no down payment, who bought a home they could not afford.

Shortly there after, the tea party groups formed across the nation.

This is the only movement generated by zero and the progressives

No, Ted was overtaken by a novice, a non-politician, who spent way less money than Ted, beat SIXTEEN other challengers, tapped into what the voters were thinking (not telling the voters WHAT to think), took on the press, and political correctness.

Ted, Trump’s “celebrity” had nothing to do with it. His connection with the voters was the difference. It was REAL, something you would no nothing about. People want REAL, they reject PHONY, that’s why you lost so badly! You are a FAKE and most people saw right through you., especially the more they got to know you.

The only “movement” that you are a part of is the one you leave in your toilet every morning.

Do you wipe and flush yourself, or do you have “people” for that?

No, “Ted Cruz” lost, but conservatism didn’t.

Amen conservatism is truth.

“Four years from now Cruz will still be greasy, repellent, and pompous, and have a piercing, intolerable, nasal voice.”

And will still think he is the greatest orator since Cicero.
