Yeah, when we scouted all the places you mentioned, we definitely noticed that pastureland was hard to find in WV! It’s like settlers marched right by WV and moved onto other areas, LOL! I got the feeling of being back in time, before ‘progress’ ruined everything.

I love WV for it’s “back in time” feel. The people, for the most part, still cling to the old ways. The only “outside’ influence is the drug problem. The illegal way of making a living is no different from the moonshine days, but the product is deadlier.
All the people who work are the salt of the earth kind who cling to their “guns and religion”. When hubby and I recently held our 50th wedding celebration, over 100 people showed up. All of our friends & neighbors came to make it the best party ever.
