Seeing how things are a little slow around here, I'd like to reach for my playbook and offer up a very poignant song for your listening pleasure. The song is- It Is Well (With My Soul.) An old time hymnal performed by a modern Christian band: Audio Adrenaline; accompanied by recording artist Jennifer Knapp.

I'm having trouble posting a working (hot) link so I'll add it into a post following this one.
Here's a little background on the song's inception.
This song was written by a man (attorney Horatio Spafford, 10/20/1828 - 10/16/1888) who had learned that all four of his daughters had drowned when the ship they were on sank in a storm (his wife survived). He previously had lost his only son to scarlet fever, and all of his real estate holdings in the Chicago fire. But despite this great personal tragedy, he was able to find peace in the Lord, and this wonderful hymn has brought the same peace to many others since.
Every time I read this, I get a little misty eyed and at a loss for words.
Let us count our blessings and be thankful for each other, and especially for our families.
what a sad, but inspirational story.
Yes, gratitude is a much better attitude to have. My days go better if I concentrate on all the good in my life vs. how I want it to be.
For example, my eyes have been hurting because of conjunctivitis due to allergies for weeks now. An ophthalmologist gave me a prescription for a $200 teeny bottle of drops - that did NOTHING. I coincidentally went to a new GP yesterday, who said those drops would do nothing and gave me a prescription for a $88 bigger bottle of drops. My eyes feel good today, even after gardening for 4 hours this morning and taking a walk around the property just now. Not perfect, but the throbbing pain is gone ;) And my right foot quit hurting too. Double blessings!
I look back over this year, and see two significant stories. The biggest is the rise of Donald Trump, and the other is the tale of the loser, Lyin' Teddy Bare. I see so many of us that actually thought highly of Ted Cruz, but over the months, we found out that he is a fraud. His life is a lie and his problem is that he just ins't liked.
I read one post where one of the police officers at a Trump event was impressed by Donald, taking time to have selfies and thank the officers backstage with NO CAMERAS.... It just shows his class and sincerity!
