It rained off and on all day, and now the mountains have those wisps of ‘smoke’ all between the ridges. Spectacular! I’ve never seen such a thing until I moved here; I don’t miss the Sierras and the big trees one bit!

“I don’t miss the Sierras and the big trees one bit!”

Isn’t the brilliant green and the smell of newly plowed earth wonderful in this part of the world, CottonBall? I love the mountains of Tenn, KY, and WV.

I’ve never seen such a thing until I moved here; I don’t miss the Sierras and the big trees one bit! The closest thing I've seen would be the marine layer burning off on the west coast. It goes back out to sea down on the oceanfront, but creeps back up the hills and mountains a little further inland. Have you had a storm cloud "break" over the mountaintop like a wave yet? Those can be impressive, and a little scary if it's a violent thunderstorm.
