I’ve seen the bikers in action; back in the day, the 1st turn infield at the Indy 500 was called “the Snake Pit,” and for a reason. It was basically the Wild West, run by the Outlaws. But there were rules. Obviously, you didn’t mess with the bikers. But, you were expected to not mess with others, either.

Once we saw a muscle head bullying a smaller guy. Why, I don’t know. But the Outlaws saw it, went over to the bully’s van and slashed his tires, then beat the crap out of him. It was very rough justice, but it I can’t say it wasn’t deserved.

My anecdotal experience has been that so long as you behave respectfully and don’t give offense, and understand that you are not one of them, you will be OK.
