Basically they were “rigging the vote”, “cooking the books”, “adjusting the numbers”, etc. All with no transparency and all pure propaganda and lies; all for a profit.
In the end they take the 5th and say that it’s an entertainment based media.
And frankly, liberal articles do tend to stir up the discussion pot more on a non self selected website (Facebook readership is not a mirror of FR), therefore more page views therefore more page-eyes to sell to advertisers.
Take it for what it’s worth, don’t sweat the small stuff, and try rather to educate people, both on and off Facebook, that there is a bigger world than Facebook. Try to believe in the merit of truth again and advocate for truth like you really believed it.
