No chemical is inherently evil. What some people do with some chemicals can be very evil.
Your posting appears to be greatly conflating things, but extrapolating an historic mis-use of otherwise potentially useful substances is foolishness.

The fascistic take over of WWII German industry for war efforts and political ends included munitions and chemical manufacturers. Those firms who made formulations for explosives whether willingly or by coercion are every bit as attributable for deaths in the Battle of Britain, the Russian front, and Normandy as were those whose pesticide making capabilities were taken over for homicidal purposes.
Did you know that Bayer made Mustard Gas in WWI and as part of post war reparations they lost their trademark in the US until it was restored completely in 1992? It was war and Bayer paid for it for a long time.
Medications you take or may have taken can be toxic and even deadly in excess. Blood pressure meds taken in excess may slow your heart to stoppage. Is the med the problem or yours or anyone's mis-use of the med the problem?
Thalidomide causes severe birth defects in pregnant mothers, and yet it is an effective anti-cancer med for some patients. So is thalidomide evil, or does the mis-use of it result in something evil for some patients?
Zyklon-B was not designed to kill Jews or babies. It was designed as a pesticide by Bayer in he 1920's. A pesticide was mis-used purposefully kill people. There is no cyanide in mifepristone or misoprostil.
Misoprostil was designed for the purpose of preventing stomach ulcers caused by anti-inflammatory agents. Mifepristone is a progesterone blocker which is also used for controlling high blood sugar in patients with Cushing syndrome who have type 2 diabetes.
Using either drug for those purposes is a legitimate therapeutic use. Combining them together for the purpose of inducing abortion is amoral, ungodly, and non-therapeutic.
FDA approved the combined administration of the two meds for the purpose of inducing abortion. This is what was evil. Not the drugs themselves.
In my career I have worked for Bayer (also makers of Cipro and Aspirin) and I worked at one time for FDA as a Review Chemist (had nothing to do with RU-486 approval as an abortifacient.)
I have approved many medications which have made people well. I have worked in industry to supply such medications to the market.
I have no remorse for ever having worked for either Bayer or the Agency.
You should not be inclined to paint with so a broad paintbrush, conflating unrelated things like Zyklon-B gas mis-usage with today's RU-486 mis-approval. These are 2 entirely different things and separated by both history and relevance in context.
Hoecht-Rousell-Uclaff (original makers of RU-486) are today owned by Sanofi Aventis who also owns Genzyme.
If you doctor prescribes Bayer aspirin or Cipro for you, will you refuse to take it because Bayer made Mustard Gas 90 year ago and Zyklon-B 70 years ago? If your doctor prescribes Renvela or Renagel for your kidneys or Low Molecular weight Heparin for a blood condition, will you refuse to take it because Sanofi today owns the RU486 assets?
Is you stock portfolio disinvested from either Sanofi or Bayer assets because of what either did in WWI or WWII?
