No matter how wind up feeling about this mess, it's important to understand what both sides are saying. He's saying that a little girl shouldn't be in a ladies room with a 30 year old male pervert. She's pointing out that he's also saying (by implication) that it's better that some little boy be in a men's room with the same 30 year old male pervert. I can't help but think that we don't want the 30 year old male pervert in any public restroom. But, of course, there are problems with that.

This disagreement also seems to stem from the different ways of viewing the 30 year old. Is he a 30 year old male pervert in a dress or is he now a 30 year old woman in a dress? Or, something in between? And, of course, everyone thinks that his/her answers are simple and obvious.

There comes a time when we no longer want to deal with craziness like this anymore, when we want to leave these questions to younger folks who will have to live with the results. I never imagined that technology would ever advance to a level that some of these things could become issues. What's it going to be like 30 years from now? Good luck!
