turning the steering wheel may have no effect on the direction of the wheels, increasing the risk of a crash.

They only say it will increase the risk of a crash, not that it would cause one. Must not be too bad. /s

Doesn't seem as bad as if you turned the steering wheel and the front wheels went in the opposite direction /s
