A neighboring county, one of the fastest growing and most conservative counties in the country is going to Compressed Natural Gas for the county vehicles. Including patrol cars/SUVs, county highway vehicles, etc. All county trucks are now fitted for and used for plowing snow.

Talked to the survey crew from the Surveyors office today about their new F450 service type truck.

5.5 mpg with a range of a whopping 80 miles in a county of over 400 square miles.

It really doesn’t much matter what kind of power plant it is. If they manage to raise the percentage of electric cars to anything approaching a significant number, the electric grid will collapse.

We’ve known of the looming crisis in getting something done to modernize the grid and nothing has been done. Electric cars just bring doomsday closer.

Wait ‘til your electricity gets browned out on a hot humid summer evening or a bitterly cold winter night - and look over at your neighbor’s politically protected electric car getting charged. It will be open season on greenies.
