The main problem with #NeverTrumperism is that its based on an irrational dislike of the man.

Even Reagan did things I didn’t agree with. And to tell millions of voters they’re stupid in picking their nominee is downright condescending.

Moreover, realistically, finding and running a third party candidate is an impossible challenge, logistically, financially and from a political standpoint, such a candidate can’t win - only play a spoiler role.

#NeverTrumpers are welcome to vote for Hillary Clinton if they really can’t stand Donald Trump. They’re not welcome on FR.

Now is the time to unite behind our candidate and our party.

I’m not a #Nevertrump’er...yet; I haven’t yet decided whether to vote for him. How prescient of you to know my state of mind, and to perceive that my reluctance is due “irrational hatred” and not reasonable skepticism.

Trump has the nomination, but it’s a long way to the convention and longer to the election. Stifling dissent and discusion from the conservative side is sending the WRONG message to Mr. Trump.

It is saying whatever he does from now on until November, he can do nothing to lose the conservative’s vote.

He needs to know conservatives are still negotiating with him. It’s not a done deal until the votes are cast. He knows all about deals and conservatives are not suckers. We’re well informed and we’re watching his every move. So no more waffling Mr. Trump. Stopping the Muslim invasion was not “suggestion”, it was a promise you made to America.

Who Trump picks for VP and his advisors is part of the deal with conservatives. Not waffling on the positions that got him the nomination are part of the deal, and the deal is not closed yet. Making deals with Ryan and Turtle McConnell are not part of the promise.

Telling Trump he is assured of conservative votes this early in the process is not smart, and it’s not tough. And politics is a tough game.

No, we don’t want Hillary, but we don’the want a squishy-middle Donald either. And he’s sending out signals every day that he’s heading in that direction. We want the conservative Donald, and the only way to assure that is to continue to discuss and debate his team and his positions.
