Does that go on forever on FR servers, even if I go to another thread? It might cause some damage to the archives.
Remember, the graphic is hosted elsewhere (usually an imagehost such as IMGUR, etc.), not on the FR server, so there is no bandwidth cost to FR related to pictures and Gifs. Eventually the image host will retire it, but with the size of storage devices these days...
