That statement is 100% correct, and until the blindly ecstatic Trump supporters start recognizing the many problems associated with the (hopeful) victory in November, the dangers will continue to fester. The ONLY way to get a course-correction out of Trump is for his supporters to nudge him in the right directions.
A partial list, in case the Trump-devotees ever decide to wake up:
1. Stop making declarative judgments about people. Common minds focus on people. Decent minds focus on events. Great minds focus on IDEAS. We do not care who you deem "a good guy" etc.
1b. For the love of the Almighty, PLEASE stop commenting on the physical appearance of females, including and not limited to reporters, politicians, supporters, detractors, celebrities, models, and family members!!!! You've already overflowed your quota of such comments for your 8-year Administration.
2. Please remember, on your quest to prove that you are the greatest businessman ever, that the United States is not a corporation. There are many aspects of this nation that are not corporate, and should not be treated that way. Not every issue can be solved by sticking to your business ideals and themes. You cannot grunt, "You're fired!" to the Supreme Court. You most certainly should not be seeking to maximize revenues in the federal coffers.
3. Please stop making new names for opponents. Monikers like "Lyin Ted" and "Crooked Hillary" makes for nice NYC media headlines and name-calling, but for the other 98% of the nation, it's really beneath the dignity of the Office you're seeking.
4. It seems obvious that you've noticed the Battered Wife Syndrome that is affecting the Conservative Movement in this nation. We get folks elected, and they stab us in the back once in Office. You rode that wave to the head of the nomination pack, and now may ride it into the White House. Please be the first in a while to actually stick to the Conservative Principles that we espouse: government is the problem, not the solution... taxes should be lower... cut government red tape... give power back to the states... strong borders... strong military... strong economy... plentiful cheap energy... pride not apologies for being American. Please?
5. Please do not copy Obamas "Pen and a Phone" strategy, in your effort to "get things done quickly". Our youth need to see a great man eschew power, not grab it. We do not need them to grow up knowing 16 years of Presidents who do not honor Congress, the Constitutional principle of Separation of Powers, or the ideals of Limited Government. You may feel like a King, and Monarch Obama may have acted like one, but please don't encourage more for our future generations. It comes with massive inherent dangers.
I'm sure others here can add to this list.
5. is wrong. Live by the pen then die by the pen. Trump needs to reverse every O’Bastard EO.
Please look at my list in #89. While you raise some valid concerns - mostly related to appearances and tactics, my list deals with substantive issues of policy. On ALL of those listed, Trump is far better for this nation than Hillary.
We are beyond looking for the ideal candidate at this point (and, BTW, Trump is not my ideal candidate, and I happen to agree with you on a lot of the tactics that he’s been using up to this point). The people have spoken, and Trump has beaten all 16 of his opponents on the Republican side. Now the choice is ONLY between Hillary or Trump (barring some very unusual events) - one of the 2 of them will be the next POTUS. Between them, IMHO, there is no choice for a sane, thinking, patriotic American - Trump is head and shoulders above her on ALL counts.
The instant you called me blind was the instant I stopped caring.
For someone who claims to be so smart, you’d think that you’d know not to insult your audience.
Sheesh.
