Wow, thanks for that link. He was a unique and strong individual, someone perfectly placed as our Ambassador. His was no crony posting, nor was it even slightly safe or easy. His ex fiancé really shared more about his than I had ever heard and I admit to being saddened more by his loss even than when I read the book by the Benghazi heroes in January.

He did NOT have to die.

I blame Hillary and Obama.

P.S. He was a hero in a simple way, for wanting to serve our country in that post, for doing his part to connect with his host country. So I don’t care if he were gay or straight. My guess is that he truly was not the marrying kind though he did have a love affair with a woman. Many gay people do. But that doesn’t matter. His murder is what matters.
