That excuse has never made any sense to me since Trump first uttered it. Because these are filed returns, anything he releases, the IRS already has. He wouldn't be releasing any information that the IRS doesn't already know (or could have easily obtained by simply getting a court order).

And if the IRS asks him to amend them, etc., then you create the unnecessary hassle of returns changes and idiots saying he lied, etc. No, he's right to not release them. Further, I really do not see the need for anyone to release theirs. None whatsoever.

The only reason anyone wants to see them is to find something to criticize the candidate about. Why feed them?
