Ted Cruz supporters, and I am one, have a decision to make. My story on this decision starts on May 20, 2014, the night I had the great good fortune to attend a small dinner with Sen. Ted Cruz, to talk strategy and policy. Personally, I was skeptical of him and his chances in a potential presidential bid, which fluttered over the entire conversation like a smart, subtle butterfly.

SYNOPSIS:
1) You had me at Hillary.
2) If Trump wins, the Establishment loses.
3) A Trump Presidency would be the Best Antidote for Political Correctness.
4) Trump takes the border and the Jihadi threat seriously.
5) Trump gives us at least a chance of preserving the Supreme Court and thereby the Constitution.
YES ON ALL FIVE.
Compared to zero specifics from Ted Cruz on what he would do. And unlike Trump, Cruz has no record of accomplishments. Yes, he won that Senate seat in Texas and we were all happy for him. But he’s been mostly a no-show since and has done nothing for conservatives except talk the good talk.
Like Trump says, all talk and no action. Or as they say in Texas, all hat and no cattle.
Maybe Cruz should focus on doing the job he was elected to do and build a record of accomplishment that he can run on later. He’s only about 45 years old. There is hope for him yet but he has a lot to learn and he needs to actually accomplish something besides campaigning and being an absentee senator.
while engaging in petty wars against countries that would prefer to be friends of America or who she thinks are obstacles to Islamist domination or to the advancement of socialism.
The very fact that Donald Trump is still standing, in the face of relentless character assassination by the GOPe and their Machiavellian ilk such as Ted Cruz, is quite sufficient to prove that your premise is false.
No charlatan could have weathered that storm.
Tearing down the GOP nominee serves no constructive purpose, and indeed can potentially have the effect of depressing voter enthusiasm. It can only help Hillary. Is that your intent?
The Trump concern troll routine is wearing very thin in this community, from the top down. It appears many still need some time to get over the lingering bitterness that accompanies embracing a failed candidate.
At this juncture, if you'll recall, we're trying to beat Hillary, , not abet her, so if you can't say something nice about the nominee, then maybe you shouldn't say anything at all. A wise person once said that.
What is the purpose of attempting to undermine morale by perpetuating a canard that the GOP electorate has repudiated decisively? You just can't seem to move on to the next stage of this process.
Thanks to relying on such balanced information resources such as yourself, we're all quite familiar with Donald Trump's many flaws, both real and imagined.
Speaking of imagination versus reality: Ted Cruz was actually standing in front of cameras yesterday, seriously talking about "unsuspending" his failed campaign, based on the fantasy that he might somehow win the Nebraska primary.
Fortunately, the voters of Nebraska disabused the Harvard debate champion of his misconception, hopefully once and for all for 2016.
Hillary is the charlatan in this election.
Vote Trump! Enthusiastically...
Not tempted to what vote for trump? Them say hello too Hillary
Yep, Cruz can still win the nod in a contested convention. Hold on to that dream guy. /sarc
I’m voting against Hillary.
I wasn't as clear as I could have been. I think Trump is sincere, but I'm not as certain as I'd like to be or as I am with Cruz.
This is not about Cruz but I do thank God for him and wish him well.
I tried to read this, but I was deep into the article and it was still just a Cruz “love fest”.
Give it up already! You are so lucky that so many saw through “Ted the PHONY”, which obviously, you still haven’t.
TURN THE PAGE! NEXT CHAPTER!
Support for some of these evil things was in the line of”I will entertain suggestions...” not declarations of intent. Yeah, he will listen to everybody, but he will do what he thinks needs to be done, for whatever reason. Trump is an unknown, no matter what his declarations. An unknown is preferable to a known Stalinist.
-—We have had to soldier on in support of this candidate with precious few specifics about how he will actually “make America great again.” -—
Fear not...Trump supporters will post lots of things Trump has said he said he will do to prove you wrong, but very little on how he will do it...
I used to think magically thinking was only a liberal characteristic...
I only need one reason: Hillary Rodham Clinton.
For those who are distressed about the truth when they are confronted by it, insisting that objective analysis be suspended on behalf of their candidate, it is worth noting that conservatives should be loyal to principles and not personalities. As stated during the campaign I am willing to hold my nose with one hand, pull the lever for Trump with the other hand while falling on both knees beseeching Almighty God to forgive sunshine conservatives for forcing this choice upon us but I am not willing to distort reality or permit a historical record to be distorted.
I fear it is all wishful thinking because the necessary Napoleon is apt to turn out to be Napoleon after all.
You’re not voting for Trump?
Overly dramatic much?
Not surprised.
Don’t know what all Cruz people will do, but I am pretty sure Ted Cruz himself endorses Trump near the convention, either before or just after.
