No one, NO ONE expected Cruz to get as far as he did. Had Trump not come on the scene, he may not have won, but he would have done well.
Had Trump not come on the scene, we would be lamenting about presumptive nominee Jeb Bush!! Cruz would barely be on the radar. Only reason we was was because Trump cleared everyone else out.
