The answer is that they should shut up, which is what they should have done today. And I say that as someone who was for Cruz until he suspended his campaign, but while the conservatism is strong with this one, the realism is not.
I don’t take any pleasure out of watching Cruz throw his career away.
While he did expose himself as part of the establishment during this campaign, as a Senator, he was one of our very best.
