Many years ago I read a study of certain married couples. One partner in each pair was delusional. The Secret Service commissioned the study as a way to help predict attacks on public officials.

Anyway, the study showed that the sane partner was of little help to the delusional one. In fact, the sane partner usually became delusional as well.

Here we have another example to prove that point.
