Prove it. I live in CO. According to this, we should be seeing pot related fatal accidents on the regular. The facts show otherwise. This is BS propaganda.

A: I KNOW it has climbed.

Impossible, the people at NORML told me that weed was perfectly safe and was the answer to all of society's problems. Seriously, I smoked a lot of weed in my youth and ANYONE who tells you getting stoned doesn't make you a worse driver is a liar.

Pot is a depressant. As such, you tend to s l o w down, you can easily find the driver on pot, they are in the slow lane 10 mines under the speed limit, looking for McDonalds or Taco Bell.

Really? I live in Wyoming and it is quite obvious that the I-25 corridor between FoCo and Denver has significantly become worse since CO legalized dope. Every time we travel that way now we are delayed by an accident. We avoid it like the plague. Additionally, downtown Denver is nasty to visit now. The reek smell of dope permeates the air and every where you look are stoned people laying about. You can have it.

I wondered about the actual statistics myself. Looks like this all started with a press release from AAA based on a flawed study done in the state of Washington between the years of 2010-2014 (actual study covered 2008-2014). According to AAA, 3,031 drivers in Washington were involved in fatal crashes and 303 of those drivers had detectable THC in their blood serum.Remember, those are sums from over a four year period. The stats they're using is located here: http://wtsc.wa.gov/research-data/quarterly-target-zero-data/

Interestingly, AAA has written about the current flawed THC tests used by law enforcement and recommends that current DUI laws in Washington, Colorado, Montana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania be scrapped since the metabolites stay in one's system for weeks and may not be a direct cause of accidents.

In related news, 100% of fatal accidents are oxygen-related.
