You do have a point. His page is in my news feed, and I have relied on him as a clearheaded opinion writer about cultural issues from a biblical perspective. Getting in the gutter is not looking good on him, but bringing people there seems to be a skill Trump has perfected.
Dr. Moore usually makes points that are well worth considering, even when I eventually decide I disagree. He should not be letting himself be drawn into this type of embarrassing slanging match, and neither should any other rational person. However, Twitter brings out the worst in a lot of people.
I sympathize ... I find myself in arguments with my teenagers that are just as silly, and then ask myself, “How did this happen?” You just get distracted for a moment, and the next thing, everyone’s acting like fools.
The skill that Trump has is ripping the sheepskin off the wolf.
Writing commentary isn’t the same as having the heart of God, and living it. Marching piously to religion isn’t the same as having the heart of God, either.
