Miriam's minions were upset and suggesting he stole the election, according to CNN Philippines, who had a long segment on what the social networks were saying. They forget that most folks have cellphones for emergencies but don't go around twittering etc. so what is going on there only mirrors the elite memes.
nice photos. I’m glad you found a nice family.
Most Pinoys are family oriented, which is why when my husband turned 80 we moved back here: He wanted to be near relatives and not have to go to a nursing home or hospital. Indeed, he was active until about 6 months before he died.
I understand that perfectly. I am 68 years old, from a long living line of family. We never know if today is the day, or if we have 30-40 moe years to go. I have relatives in their 90's now, and going strong and independent.
My Marlene is just now 32, and we had lots of conversations prior to getting together. Her family, of course, had to interview me and approve. I passed.
But recently, I had some problems that required a doctor's care. I spent several weeks close to my bed and CR. She was like a mother hen, which made it a little better. I am still on the low side, but improving daily. Every 15 minutes (or so it seems) she comes to check on me and asks, "are you all right". She really cares, and not because of retirement money I get.
I have been setting her up in a business which is getting better every day. Last year was a set-back to our savings, but she is a typical Filipina miser. She always has money, and doesn't like to buy things (except baking items, which are an investment for her).
I look forward to the future. If it becomes burdensome, we have already discussed hiring a full-time nurse. I have good doctors her in Davao, and a choice of good hospitals. Medical care is so much cheaper, and all are competent or more.
Thanks for the info and encouragement. Life is more fun in the Philippines.
Obscure movie reference :-)
That is what he was called online wise.
This is from Breitbart:
My nephew is married to a woman from that country and preparing food is very big.
but he developed leukemia and refused chemotherapy.. I agreed with him on this. So I nursed him with the help of the staff....I was a nurses’ aid before I went to med school.
But there are first class docs in Manila which our family uses when simple care is not enough.. I even arranged a cousin to get cutting edge chemo for her melanoma in Manila....alas it did not work but she was only 50, and so I encouraged her to try it. Now I read the treatment is sort of a miracle for half the patients, but alas she was not helped.
I’m working in Taoyuan City this week, near Taipei. There’s a sizable Filipino community here, exemplified by a packed church Sunday for one of five Masses at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. I’m working with a young Filipino who is all in for Duterte, and with Taiwan recently electing something of a hardliner it seems there’s a wave of Trump-like fervor spreading globally.
what's this "we"???....you don't live here....Americans live here...
so she’s your grand dtrs age?...
You're so funny??? NOT!
My passport says United States of America. I am registered to vote in North Carolina. My bank account is in West Virginia.
Your ignorance is only exceeded by your lack of knowledge. If everybody living in CONUS is American, I guess you are OK with all the Mexican and Syrian invaders in your state?
Where I choose to spend my time is totally irrelevant to my posts. Your posts, however, are just irrelevant!
