It is nonsense to put something in the GOP Platform that is common sense!

The Platform represents political positions, on where we want the nation to go politically.

Why not just put the 10 commandments in the Platform and say we are for these?

They are already in the platform in the form of principles about crime, faith, etc.

I support the principle of privacy and security in the same way as I support Life, taxes, foreign policy, etc.

I supported it long before Cruz came along, and YOU of all people know that I am a supporter of Donald Trump. But, I don’t agree with anybody on everything.

This is about pretend virtue, fig leaves. Nobody was policing restrooms before this, as long as the patrons did not make a nuisance of themselves. Nobody is comparing the past to the present either in calculating the gains and drawbacks of legislating something that is even more unenforceable than Prohibition. Yes, I said unenforceable. That’s a good way to lose respect for the rule of law — it is like legislating that everybody’s socks must match even if they are not visible in footwear.
