IT IS ABOUT THE FOUNDING IDEALS THAT HAVE LED TO THIS COUNTRY, HALTINGLY INEXORABLY IN THE DIRECTION OF FAIRNESS, INCLUSION, AND EQUALITY FOR ALL AMERICANS. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE SEEN DISCRIMINATORY RESPONSES TO HISTORIC MOMENTS OF PROGRESS TO OUR NATION. WE SAW IT IN THE JIM CROW LAWS THAT FOLLOW THE EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION.
She sure as heck does not know her history. Those laws (wrong as they were) were partly response to the harsh treatment of the South during Reconstruction. They had nothing to do with the Emancipation Proclamation.
