Paul again showing how easily and quickly he caves, rather than working with Trump. Paul sounds like the whiny boyfriend who asks his girlfriend if she's really sure she wants to go to the movies with him and is surprised when she tells him she has other plans.

Ryan should either announce that he supports Trump or resign as convention chair. Period.
Saying he’ll resign only if Trump asks is simply another chickenshit move by Ryan.

That little puissant thinks he can get in a spitting contest with Trump and win. There’s an epic fail on the way.

How do we the people let Ryan know ‘the wheel has turned and it is time for him to STEP DOWN? Romney sure ought to have some desk job for lying Ryan.

Maybe Hilary will ask Paul to chair the Dem convention - he might feel more at home over there.....

When you are shaving points on a game, its not what you do but rather what you dont do.
Put Ryan in a Hillary t-shirt. He is trying to shave points on this contest, i.e., he might as well be playing for the other team.

Paul again showing how easily and quickly he caves, rather than working with Trump. He isn't caving. this is a calculated move directed by the donors to undermine Trump at the convention, and keep the "dream alive" of deposing him.

I have a fantasy in which Ryan loses his primary bid and has to embarrass himself as the GOP Convention Chair. That would be great.

Paul Ryan needs to put his money where his mouth is. He’s the one who came out on his own, WITHOUT ANYONE ASKING HIM TO DO SO, and expressed his disloyalty to his own party. He’s a big boy, he doesn’t have to wait for DJT to ask.
GET OUT, Ryan! Go join your GBN comrades over in the DNC!
Replace him with Sheriff Joe.
THERE’S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN!

I think Trump should announce he humbly accepts Ryan’s resignation from Republican convention chairman.

Why do you think a seasoned pol like Ryan would want to put space between himself and his party’s nominee?
I think you’re kidding yourself if you don’t him qualified to read the tealeaves.

Smart move by Ryan!
If Trump wants a ‘good’ convention he can’t kick Ryan out. It would cause great contention.
Trump was effectively stuck with him anyway, this cements it- giving Ryan a tiny bit more leeway.
