So why is it that the mother is no longer able to buy cloth diapers and then wash them? Our generation did that for all our babies. Then they came out with the disposable diapers and now the same people that wanted the disposable ones complain about them filing up the landfills.
Instead of charity organizations giving away disposable diapers they should just give each mother a one-time supply of cloth ones and a diaper bucket. They make awesome dust cloths and dishtowels when the child is trained and no longer needs them. Problem solved.
Cloth diapers were my immediate thought as well.
Of course then they would want a government provided washer and dryer...and rubber pants. But that maybe cheaper in the long run. Those disposable diapers are pricey.
