I didn’t see the interview. But I read his tax plan.
He wants to eliminate some loopholes that mostly benefit hedge funds (ie. carried interest taxes, etc).
As another poster noted, Trump didn’t say that he wanted to raise taxes in this interview. He said that his tax cuts might not be as steep as proposed in his plan after it goes through congress.
He most certainly DID say he wants to raise taxes in the interview.
“For the wealthy I think frankly it is going to go up and, you know what, it really should go up,”
How much more clear could it possibly get? I guess it depends on the meaning of “should” and “go up”.
