Yep. Using the word "conservative" to mislead. Labels are generally amenable to that (useful to mislead), and when a talker goes no further than using the label (i.e., they don't express policies), the intention is nearly always to mislead.

Ryan is no conservative. He said the Gang of 8 bill was not amnesty and went around with Gutierrez supporting it; he supports TPA and TPP; he voted for TARP; and he passed the Omnibus bill that increased the national debt by $2 trillion and lifted the spending caps. Ryan has aided and abetted the Obama agenda.

I hung on through Wallace because I wanted to see Manafort who did great, but When I heard Brit make that comment, I laughted changed the channel.

In Brit Hume's world, he is. Ryan was the choice to conserve and preserve the GOP establishment hold on the House, even though it was the Tea Party that gave the GOP control of the House after the disasters in 2006 and 2008.
