I used to think I was a "Conservative", but then I did a bit more of a study of Our origins and discovered I an an AMERICAN:

The same could be asked of various other terms used commonly to conjure up negative thoughts: EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN, RACIST, DENIER, SEXIST...
I believe this is another form of ad-hominum attacks used by small minds to try to exert some control over things they know nothing about and probably don’t have the mental capacity to understand. These tend to be heavily represented in Leftist, Liberal, Progressive, and dependent groups/organizations.
Their repeated over-use of all these terms brands them as the intellectually deficient people they are.

For me, a conservative is one who believes in limited government, the rule of law, the supremacy of the constitution, the special role of God in human affairs, balanced with a regard for free will and an acceptance of no established state religion. Furthermore, it is a political frame of mind in which responsibility is at least as important as rights, where entitlement is earned and not given out to those who have produced nothing of value.
In actual practice, a conservative is a guy who gets along with the local business elite, who bangs on about patriotism while looking for ways of avoiding military service, and who says he is for family values just after banging the maid.
You're completely off base and you should apologize for machine that accusation with evidence.
I've watched paid Hillery and Cruz trolls this year and what they primary do is push campaign themes or try to demoralize in a very uniform manner. Actually supporters tend to be much more scattered and off message. It's quite obvious that BFAC and people like second division vet are big fans of their respective candidates rather than paid trolls.

The Republican Party, the GOPe have pretty much succeeded over the past two decades redefining the perception of conservatism.
They have people believing conservatism is them, and whatever today they want to sell conservatism as.
I like the idea of putting the GOPe on the spot, and making them spit it out of their lying mouths as to what they think conservatism is. It needs to be a daily question until the confusion causes a demand for truth.
