True enough. I was a Trump supporter since the moment he announced (I've been reading his financial articles for many years, and I was always impressed by his clarity).
But I am not impressed by Trump's engaging in these "You're an idiot"..."No, you're an idiot" exchanges. I'm still voting for Trump, but this has lessened my respect for him.
You probably disagree. And maybe these name-calling exchanges work, as bad PR is better than no PR. To each his own.
“Elizabeth Warren- accuses him of ‘racism, sexism & xenophobia’”
I don’t like the nastiness either, but the Democrats are always nasty.
So what’s he supposed to do?
Fist his forehead & meekly apologize, as we’re used to Republicans doing after being called terrible names so they can keep that label GOP-e stalwarts so coveted from the MSM: “moderate conservative/Republican”?
There’s a method to his madness. And he’s on a roll, let him go.
Reagan also participated in name calling in order to make a point (e.g. calling the USSR “The evil empire”). He was just more selective, and very dignified and smooth. That said, it was a different time as well. The left has gotten away with character assassination time and time again, and it’s about time they have it thrown right back at them.
The Left has been allowed to attack conservatives with impunity of years now and have never been attacked back.
This is the only way to shut them up.
