Funny how the establishment is throwing a fit over Trump but the last two elections were McCain/0 and Romney/0. Let’s send up the biggest loser RINOs we can find, that will win elections. Oh, that’s right, the Repubs aren’t about winning elections. They love being a lame-duck party where the president doesn’t even submit a budget, congress writes him a blank check, and congressional Repubs get to treat congress as a no-show job because they can meet any call to do anything with “we don’t have the votes”. Every damn one of them should be in prison for failure to meet even the most basic requirements of their jobs.

I think that's exactly what's going on - these guys want to coast. Play along to get along as the pointless "opposition" while they pretend to be fighting for conservative values on TV. It's all just kabuki theater. They're fine with what's happening, as long as they get to cash their checks as lobbyists and Chamber-of-Commerce types later.

There's a reason most of these guys never leave Washington, even after they retire - they're comfortable, and they're just fine with the status quo, while they play "conservative" during elections and put up "strawman" votes that don't accomplish anything.
