Cruz, no doubt, is contemplating his next move, which I think
is going be trying to save his senate seat.

I agree that Cruz is trying to figure out what to do now but it may not be
saving his senate seat. Cruz historically hasn’t stayed in one position more
than a few years. He seems to me to be someone that needs constant change.
Cruz seemed more interested in a Senate seat to use as a launch pad and cred building apparatus for a POTUS run.
I doubt the Senate seat will hold much interest for him now.
